The English House
Welcome to the all-NEW English House!
The English House you all know and love has found a new home in Sindal Skole, where we have created a warm and welcoming place where your students (and you yourself as well ) can come and be immersed in the language(s) and cultures of the English-speaking world. In addition to a Pub from the British Isles, the English House boasts rooms dedicated to the Caribbean, Africa, New Zealand/Australia and North America. There is also a reading nook, where students can read a book or just relax when they feel like a bit of peace and quiet.
My name is Anneke Boonacker and I both the Teacher and Head of the English House. I am a native English speaker, certified English teacher, cultural anthropologist and educational designer/consultant. I have many years of experience in education and I love to combine my variety of backgrounds into creating safe and imaginative learning experiences for students of all ages.
Opening days are on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Workshop hours are from 9:15 - 13:00 (based on train times)
Please feel free to book a workshop for your class through the English House website.
I very much look forward to having a lot of fun and learning a lot together!
At the English House, we will explore exciting places, stories and moments in the English-speaking world together and experience their cultures while learning, practicing and gaining confidence in English through games, talking, reading, writing, drama, singing, drawing, and other play-based activities.
Students enter a completely new world when they step into the English House, which invites them to have all sorts of adventures. This allows them to experience English language and culture in a different way then they would be able to in the average classroom.
